このクラスで学べること
We will meet each week to learn new letters, vocabulary, and conversations in Armenian. Learners will interact with each other and will have fun activities. Students are welcome to join the class anytime. The topics of this class are learner-directed. We will choose a topic from the list below: - Food, fruits, and vegetables - Animals and nature - Family members - Poetry and songs - Travel - Seasons and weather - Hobbies and color - Likes and dislikes - Time and numbers - Suggested by the students Tentative weekly topics/themes Week of June 19: Food, fruits, and vegetables Week of June 26: Likes and dislikes and spring Week of July 3: Seasons and weather Week of July 10: Family members Week of July 17: Travel Sometimes we will use the website scratch.mit.edu to record our voices and pronunciations. We will make interactive and fun activities. The students will learn a thing or two about coding as well. They will record their voice using codes. Each class will include: - Greeting and introduction in Armenian - Letter of the day - new vocabulary selected from the topic list - something fun like a poem, song, game, drawing, or a Scratch coding project - Farewell This class is taught in English. We may speak Armenian if everyone understands it.

In some classes, we will use the Scratch website (scratch.mit.edu). The link will be provided in the class. Signing up for an account is recommended, but it's not required. The project files can be saved to your computer.
Sometimes we may use YouTube to watch short videos and listen to songs. I will screen share those or share the links in the chat.
We may use Google Slides to make and share presentations. Having a Google account is recommended.

-Pencil and paper or anything else for practicing writing. -A Laptop or a desktop computer with webcam, speaker and microphone (No iPad and Chromebook please, unless you want to use it as a second screen for Zoom) -Internet: 3mbs+ -Using the Chrome browser is recommended
