I would like any learner to feel confident in their multiplication and division skills. Sometimes that means that we need to fill in gaps in their understanding. This is a class where students will not only learn the concepts that will help them with their understanding, but will also help them learn to be confident and comfortable in asking questions so they can always make sure that their understanding and needs are met.

I will assign an occasional worksheet, or have the student teach you, their parent, what they learned that day. I feel that if a student can teach the concept, then they understand it.

I will be keeping in contact with you as the parent at least weekly if not more often to discuss any needs, improvements, progress, etc. Assessment happens for me when the student can adequately teach the parent the concept and also retains the information necessary to be able to move on to the next concept.
