Beginner レベル向け

In this class, students will learn basic nature journaling skills throughout four weeks, and participate in a series of activities to practice their skills. Each week, students will have an instructional video lesson to watch as well as a journal page template that focuses on the topic of the week.  Through out each week, additional "think about it" and "try it out" posts will be put in the classroom for students to learn from.

 Week 1: Observing 
Video - An instructional video on the meaning of observation and ways to observe nature will be provided for students to watch.   Students will be able to post questions about the topic in the class discussion. 
Activity - A template of the weeks journal page will be provided.

Recording

 Week 2: Recording
Video - An instructional video on the importance of recording in nature journaling will be provided for students to watch.  Students will be able to post questions about the topic in the class discussion. 
Activity - A template of the weeks journal page will be provided.

レッスン 3:

Researching

 Week 3: Researching 
Video - An instructional video on why researching is an important part of nature journaling will be provided for students to watch.  Students will be able to post questions about the topic in the class discussion. 
Activity - A template of the weeks journal page will be provided.

レッスン 4:

Detailing

 Week 4: Detailing 
Video - An instructional video on ways to incorporate detailing into nature journaling will be provided for students to watch.  Students will be able to post questions about the topic in the class discussion. 
Activity - A template of the weeks journal page will be provided.

保護者へのお知らせ

Students will need to spend time outdoors in nature to complete this course. They may need parental supervision for that. They will also have a weekly journal page that will need to be printed.

Ms. Kailyn has a degree in Environmental Education and years of experience teaching at nature centers and camps.  Nature journaling is one of her favorite hobbies and one she loves to share.
