このクラスで学べること
Music making aids in young children’s development and helps foster a sense of well-being. In this one-time class, learners will join the teacher exploring music through through singing, dancing and playing. All of the music we will sing or listen to for this class will be in English. Learners should be in a space that is safe to move around as in a dance. Prior knowledge of music making is not necessary in this low-stress environment. Learners will remain on mute while we are making music so that everyone can hear the teacher. We will be interacting from time to time, so it is necessary that the learners know how to operate the mute/unmute button or have someone nearby to assist. Learners are encouraged to sing and participate as they feel comfortable. Songs will not be explicitly taught. Learners may sing along when they feel comfortable. Song choice for the class will come from the list below and will be chosen based on what instruments the students have with them in class. Songs and finger plays that may or may not be included: * Sing, Hello * Come On, Everyone * Do As I'm Doing * Do, Oh, Do, Oh * Oh, My Aunt Came Back * Clap With Me * Wake Me! Shake Me! * The Mulberry Bush * Pop! Goes the Weasel * Looby Loo * My Bonnie Lies Over the Ocean * Everybody Do This * Bounce Along * Popcpcorn! * Hands a-Washing * Tony Chestnut * All the Pretty Horses * Clap, Clap, Clap * Wiggly Woo * Chop, Chop, Chippity Chop * Rig a Jig Jig * All the Pretty Little Horses Since this is a participation based class, there will be no recordings made or sent to absent students.

受講に必要なもの
Instruments are not required, but if there are some available, they may be used. If the learner would like to substitute items around the house that could be used in place of an instrument, that would be wonderful! Suggested instruments/props include: - small hand drum (bowl/pot turned upside down) - 2 rhythm sticks (2 unsharpened pencils/2 short dowels/2 sticks from outside) - scarf (something smaller and lightweight like a kitchen towel or facial tissue) - maraca (something small that makes a shaking sound that can be held in one hand and won't get broken if dropped) - feather (something small and extremely lightweight like a small scrap of paper/puffball) - tambourine
