I, as a k-6 certified reading teacher, have seen this phonics instruction, first hand, grow student's test scores, and more importantly their confidence immensely. In order to become a good reader a child must build a good foundation of understanding in language comprehension and word recognition. I have taught this curriculum 3 years now in 3 different grades (k,1, &2) each time I have seen the scholars engaged and growing their skills in a way that is fun and the repetitive nature of the program works to build confidence in skills that directly correlate to reading. I have also seen students grow through this program and grow their test scores on state diagnostic testing.
