Let's explore music through art! Combining music with art can be a great way for learners to unwind and express themselves. In this class, students will listen to a piece of instrumental music while free-drawing or coloring. Music can inspire so many emotions and ideas. Students will have the opportunity to express how the music feels through their own art. I love to let students use their imaginations as they listen, but will also tell individual students an idea of what to draw if they prefer. At the end of the session, students will have the opportunity to share what they have created, and how the music inspired their choices. This class provides a safe space for all learners to express themselves and be creative. Music themes for our current session include: September 16: Brave Adventure September 23: Animals September 30: Magical Music October 7: Music From Art October 14: Spooky Mystery October 21: No Class October 28: Witches & Wizards November 18: Autumn November 25: Magical Lands This schedule is subject to change based on student requests throughout the session. If your learner is enrolled in order to participate in a specific theme, please let me know!

In this class, learners will listen to an excerpt from a classical style piece of music. Composer examples include, but are not limited to, Vivaldi, Beethoven, Mozart, and Schumann.

Learners will need: Paper or coloring page Pencils, crayons, markers, etc. for drawing Note: Although the title specifies drawing, learners can use any art medium of their choice! Love to paint? Go for it!

I hold a Bachelor's of Music Education degree with a specialization in elementary classroom music, and am currently certified to teach music to students in grades PK-12.
