Hard-soled shoes are recommended.  A full two-circled skirt or VERY wide ankle-length skirt is required as well.   Upon request, I can teach a dance where soft-soled shoes can be utilized.  

It is recommended to set up your dance space for class on a non-carpeted floor.  Ensure that you have adequate space to allow for dance movement so that you do not hinder the full potential of your movement.   Turning and pivoting are part of the class.  

Please utilize active or aerobic wear.   Don't forget your water bottle and possibly a towel for some sweat!

Boys should have hard-soled shoes or boots as well.  Pants must not drag on floor.  Wear pants where movement is not hindered.    Boys dance boots "botines" cost $60-80.)  

Parent/guardian guidance may be necessary during the 55 minutes per week in class and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.  Guidance may be needed for spatial concerns of potential "sticky" floors, slippery floors and/or arms moving and quick motions being taught.
