This class aims to teach a variety of writing styles while providing strategies for creating and developing written work for each genre studied. A new genre of writing will be explored each week of the course. Through exploring popular and relevant literature, students will learn to “think like a writer.” Analyzing common themes and devices used in various forms of text, students will explore different genres and create writing samples relating to the genre of the day.
