Canvas (can be any size, but a minimum of 8"x10" is preferred. An 11"x14" canvas is a great size for a wall display, if you're planning to hang it up afterwards! You can usually purchase value packs of 3 for approx. $8-10).
Acrylic paints (Any brand. Cost averages $10-15 for basic sets). Will need the minimum colors: black, white, blue and red. 
Assorted brushes and optional palette knife/knives
