I am a certified elementary school teacher. This tutoring class will meet once a week for the summer unless you sign up for two time slots. Does your child need a refresher of the previous grade before they move to the next grade? Does your child have an area that needs more practice? Does your child need some extension and enrichment with the math skills? If this is your child, then I can help them learn. Every tutoring class will start with a fun warmup practice. I will utilize online manipulative tools, books, and instructional videos. Your child will participate actively with me using a dry erase board and markers, or paper and pencil. Communication and math vocabulary is important, and that will be an important part of the class tool

The warmups include practice on computation skills that works for your child. The math skills that I could teach include computation, telling time, elapsed time, place value, fractions, multiplication, division, grade level geometry, problem solving, data collection and graphing.

Before the first class we will talk with each other so I can plan the best math tutoring plan for your child. If you have any test scores, I can use them as well.
