In this class, we will discuss what morse code is and will make a bracelet that says "Be Yourself" that they can wear. We will make them together and in the classroom will be a photo of my be yourself card as well as one that has all the different letters so they can go forth and make their own. I create and make these bracelets with my child and we run a business making them and personalizing them. The children will need to get some supplies for the class. This will be what they would like to use to string the beads on (I use 1mm leather cording but they can use stretchy, rubber, string, etc), beads that will be the dots and dashes as can be see in the profile picture (they don't need to be these exact ones but it gives you an example of what I mean by dots (.) or dashes (-)) as well as a way to close the bracelets. I use lobster clips with crimp beads on mine. They could also choose to just tie it if they can get it to stretch over their hand. If they use crimp beads they will need pliers or something in order to pinch the bead together.

string (I use leather cording but they can use anything they'd like)
crimp bead (if they want to use a clip instead of tying the bracelet)
clasp for the end
small ring for opposite end to attach the clip to for wearing (usually the clasp and this come together)
scissors
pliers or something similar to crimp the ends to secure it all (only needed if they chose to use crimp beads)

My child and I own Morse Code Creations on goimagine and create bracelets and necklaces like the ones I will make with the kids. We sell the bracelets for anywhere from $7 to $10. However if you need to purchase the supplies you can get large quantities for inexpensive at Michaels. I usually get the Hildie and Jo crimp beads 2.5 mm and it has 255 crimp beads for $5. I also use the Hildie and Jo 1 mm leather cording which can be found for I believe $3 for 3 yards.
