We’ll have quizzes, set up our own “mini budgets,” and brainstorm thoughtful (and affordable) gift ideas! This class is for ages 8-12 who want to spend money this holiday season. As a Canadian CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® Professional, "Mrs. Alyx" (Alexandra (Alyx) Valdal) is passionate about financial literacy for the next generation! Teaching kids about money is so important for establishing good habits and understanding that money is just a tool to be used.
Mrs. Alyx has lived and taught different subjects in Canada, England, and Japan. She has taught learners from ages 2 to 72 in preschool to college courses and loves engaging with excited students.
In her Outschool classes, Mrs. Alyx helps learners reflect on their own money values through talking about needs and wants and how money can work in our lives, now and in the future.
Mrs. Alyx teaches for a variety of timezones - please feel free to request a class (7am-11pm Pacific Time).
