Hello Everyone!  This class is an engaging and interactive reading course designed specifically for children based on the science of reading. The science of reading is a research-based approach that draws upon cognitive science, linguistics, and educational psychology to understand how individuals learn to read and how best to teach reading effectively. This course provides a comprehensive overview of the key principles and strategies associated with this evidence-based approach. This course is aimed at fostering a love for reading while equipping young learners with the foundational skills necessary for reading success. Through a variety of fun activities, stories, and games, children will embark on an exciting adventure to become confident and proficient readers.

During our first session I will administer a reading assessment to determine the learner's reading level. Once their reading level is determined I will create personalized lessons to strengthen their reading skills.

We will meet twice a week.

Course Objectives:
During this course, young readers will:

Course Format:
This course will be delivered in a dynamic and child-friendly format, emphasizing interactive and hands-on activities. The learning experience will include:

Storytime sessions with captivating children's literature.
Phonics and decoding games and exercises.
Vocabulary-building activities through word games and creative storytelling.
Guided reading sessions with the instructor.
Target Audience:
This course is designed for children aged 4 to 10 years old who are at various stages of their reading journey. It is suitable for both beginners and emerging readers, as the content will be personalized to meet individual needs and abilities.

Prerequisites:
No prior reading experience is required. Children should have a basic interest in exploring the world of books and stories.

By the end of this personalized reading course, children will not only acquire essential reading skills but also develop a lifelong love for reading, setting them on a path to becoming enthusiastic and capable readers.
