In this class we will learn about the geography of Madagascar (location, topography, climate, capital and flag) as well as the unique animals and plants that call it home such as the Sifaka, Ploughshare tortoise and Baobab tree and how they have adapted in isolation over thousands of years. We will also explore the environmental threats facing Madagascar's indigenous fauna and flora and watch a BBC Teach video on deforestation in Madagascar. This class will use a combination of slides and animal videos and there will be a short interactive quiz at the end. Learners are encouraged to engage by making comments/asking questions.
