In this class, your student will learn how to write a haiku, rhyming poem, and acrostic poem. We will learn the structure of the poems and go over examples. Finally, we will write a poem together before they write one by themselves. Your learner will have the opportunity to share their poems with the class if they would like. This will be a very collaborative class. Your learner will be able to share all of their ideas for the class poems and will have plenty of help with making their poem the best that it can be.

Hello, my name is Seana Mohr!
I am a certified K-6 teacher and am passionate about teaching reading, writing, and math to students in Pre-K through third grade. I believe that learning should be fun and try my best to keep lessons engaging and interesting. I have been working with children for 15 years and have done everything under the sun. Most recently, I have spent time as a kindergarten and third-grade teacher, math and reading tutor, and ESL teacher. I know that every student is unique and with the right tools and strategies they can reach their full potential.
