I was raised Jewish, and I taught Hebrew school for several years.I understand the difference between approaching a topic from an academic, secular viewpoint, and a religious one. All students are welcome in this class.

Many holiday related stories include potentially disturbing or frightening topics such as fighting, battles, exile, death, birth, plagues, hanging, weapons, famine, drought and capital punishment.
