Characterized by intensity, precision, and a sense of celebration, Taiko Drumming emphasizes and enhances physical agility, confidence and musicality. Come join us as we learn about elements of history and culture, rhythm concepts, and etiquette within a traditional Japanese setting. Based in Asia for 10 years, I was the recipient of the Japanese Ministry of Culture Bunkacho grant for the extended study of the Folk performing and traditional arts. As a musician and teacher in the US for over 15 years, I’m privileged to share my passion for world music and culture through workshops and performances of drumming, music and storytelling.
