Hard-soled shoes are recommended.  A full two-circled skirt or VERY wide ankle-length skirt is required as well.   

It is recommended to set up your dance space for class on a non-carpeted floor.  Ensure that you have adequate space to allow for dance movement so that you do not hinder the full potential of your movement.   Turning and pivoting are part of the class.  

(Please ask me if you would like to order ballet Folklorico skirt or the dance shoes.   Skirts are $45-55 and Shoes are $40-55.  
Boys need hard soled shoes or boots as well.  Pants must not drag on floor.   Boys dance boots "botines" cost $50-75.  
Please utilize active or aerobic wear.   Don't forget your water bottle and possibly a towel for some sweat!

Parents are needed to observe the child so that they may aid in guidance to advance their skills with a bit of rehearsal/practice during the week so that their skills advance with strength in their legs, timing, intensity and coordination.  

A reminder to parents - This is a physical course with a fitness routine.  As in any activity, there could a potential hazard should there not be adequate workout space or proper footwear.  Please ensure you provide your child with a water bottle and adequate stretching beforehand.  Please be advised that injuries can occur if not properly supervised
