*Contact me for new student discounts and friend referrals! In this dynamic 45-minute class, students aged 9–12 will engage in interactive dance games designed to enhance memory and cognitive skills. Through fun dance activities, learners will explore techniques such as chunking and pattern recognition, all aimed at boosting memory retention for application in both learning and daily life. This class is suitable for all dance experience levels and is available in both English and Spanish. This class requires only a small space for movement and is not physically demanding, making it suitable for learners of all abilities. Students will learn practical memory-enhancing techniques, including: Chunking: Breaking down information into manageable parts Pattern Recognition: Identifying and utilizing patterns to aid memory Class Structure: Interactive Discussion (10 minutes): Exploration of various memory techniques through guided conversation. Memory Games (25 minutes): Engaging in interactive games that reinforce the discussed memory strategies. Conclusion (5 minutes): Recap of key takeaways and encouragement for students to apply the techniques in their daily lives. The class will be taught through a combination of guided discussions and interactive dance activities. Students will actively participate in movements and games that illustrate memory techniques, fostering an engaging and supportive learning environment. My teaching style is interactive and student-centered, focusing on active participation and collaboration. I aim to create a fun and inclusive atmosphere where students feel comfortable exploring new concepts and strategies. Learners will have ample opportunities to interact through: Discussions: Sharing ideas and experiences related to memory techniques. Interactive Dance Games: Participating in activities that reinforce the strategies discussed. This interactive approach ensures that students are actively engaged and can apply the memory strategies in various contexts. By the end of this class, students will have a toolkit of memory strategies enhanced through dance to improve their learning and daily activities. Join us for a fun and educational experience that makes memory improvement enjoyable! This class is part of the Secret Dance Technique, helping students build mental skills through dance and movement.

While this class primarily focuses on mental exercises with minimal physical movement, there will be some light, dance-inspired activities. To ensure a safe environment, please provide:
A small, open space free of obstacles for limited movement.
Comfortable clothing that allows for ease of movement.
Proper footwear to prevent slipping.
Although the movements are gentle, it's advisable for students to have a water bottle nearby and to perform light stretching beforehand to prevent any discomfort. Parental supervision is recommended to ensure safety during these activities.

I am the author of "The Secret Dance Technique," a book that explores essential mental skills through the lens of dance. It includes extensive research on the topic and interviews with many professionals.
I hold a Bachelor of Arts degree with dual majors in Psychology and Interdisciplinary Studies, specializing in Performance Psychology, with a minor in Dance. My teaching experience spans two years at an elementary school in Spain, alongside teaching dance across various U.S. states and to a global student base online. I have also performed worldwide, including at Walt Disney World, Motiongate Dubai UAE, and on a cruise ship. These diverse experiences as both a dancer and educator have shown me how vital skills like focus, resilience, creativity, and divergent thinking are—not just in the arts, but in every area of life.
