Class Experience
In this personalized homework tutoring class, students will receive targeted support to complete their school assignments and improve their understanding of core subjects such as math, reading, and science. The class is designed to cater to each student’s unique needs, ensuring they not only complete their homework but also grasp the underlying concepts.

What Will Be Taught?
Students will receive assistance with their current schoolwork, covering topics that are relevant to their grade level and assignments. This includes foundational skills in:

Math: Arithmetic, fractions, algebra, geometry, and more.
Reading & Writing: Comprehension, grammar, essay writing, and language arts.
Science: Basic concepts in biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science. I will also teach critical study skills, time management techniques, and how to approach problem-solving, which will benefit them beyond the tutoring sessions.

Bonjour!!

My name is Ms. Josie, and I can't wait to learn with you!

I teach interactive classes focused on English Language Arts (ELA), Mathematics, and Science for elementary and middle school students, as well as ACT prep. With over eight years of experience in education, including roles as a Library Media Specialist and Para-Educator, I bring a student-centered approach that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and active participation. I hold a Bachelor of Arts in Homeland Security and Disaster Management and certifications in project management. My teaching philosophy is to create a supportive and engaging learning environment tailored to each student's needs. Fun fact: I speak four different languages and love learning about new cultures!
