With a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice, I am a 4th and 5th grade elementary school teacher with years of experience teaching all grade levels, K-12. Additionally, I am an online university adjunct professor of criminology, criminal justice, forensics, and sociology. I also serve as a peer-reviewer for numerous professional journals. I have studied these topics in depth and am well read on the subjects, and continue to devote time to learning about new developments, theories, and discoveries.

Students and families should have a basic knowledge about Jack the Ripper and the associations with Jack the Ripper. This class should not serve as an introduction to Jack the Ripper. Due to the nature of the topic, Jack the Ripper, parents need to be advised. Jack the Ripper is associated with gruesome, bloody murders of women, specifically intoxicated prostitutes. The teacher will address the topic of Jack the Ripper in a kid-friendly manner while adhering to the history and facts in order to properly and appropriately "solve" the mystery of Jack the Ripper. The class works as a Forensic Investigation, where we must look at the evidence so students can conclude who they believe to be Jack the Ripper. This is not about how to be Jack the Ripper, but rather, through forensic evidence, who could have been Jack the Ripper.
