グループ介入: 読み書きに苦労する生徒のための音韻認識と解読 (パート 1)

This group intervention is a class designed for struggling readers. In this course students will begin at the very basics, learning or relearning letter sounds and formation. Important dictation and decoding skills will be taught. Each day students will be actively participating, reading, writing, and practicing the skills that are fundamental to reading. There are a few lessons that cover important skills that are not decoding but do help students understand texts better, for example: capitalization and punctuation.  The skills taught and the methods I use in this class are both research based and multi-sensory. 

This class works through 16 lessons. Each lesson follows the same pattern. Class will always begin with welcomes and a fun question of the day. We will do phonemic awareness. Then there will be a quick review of past skills taught, then direct teacher instruction, which usually takes about 10 or 15 minutes. We will have guided practice and dictation. Then we will have individual practice and transfer (practicing the skills taught in a new way). Then there will be games to reinforce and practice the skills we either learned that day or have been previously taught. Each lesson will have slides and games will all be digital.

Students will be actively participating throughout each segment of the day, even direct teacher instruction. 

The following is a list of the 16 lessons included in this class.

Lesson 1: Letter Group 1. This lesson teaches the name, sound, and letter formation of the vowel a and the consonants b, f, d, and g and introduced and practices the slide.
Lesson 2: Most Common Words list 1. This lesson teaches the words included in the Most Common Words list 1: the, of, and, a, to, in, is, you, that, it.
Lesson 3: Building words. This lesson teaches how to form short words and mark vowels in words.
Lesson 4: Nonsense words. This lesson teaches how to test understanding of concepts taught thus far with words that have no meaning. Words will be identified as nonsense as to not confuse students.
Lesson 5: Capitalization. This lesson teaches students how to capitalize properly.
Lesson 6: Letter Group 2. This lesson teaches the name, sound, and letter formation of the vowel e and the consonants h, j, l, and m and practice the slide and forming words.
Lesson 7: Most Common Words List 2. This lesson teaches the words included in Most Common Words list 2: he, was, for, on, are, as, with, his, they, I.
Lesson 8: Letter Group 3: This lesson teaches the name, sound, and letter formation of the vowel o and the consonants n, p, r, and s and practice the slide and forming words.
Lesson 9: Most Common Words list 3: This lesson teaches the words included in Most Common Words List 3: at, be, this, have, form, or, one, had, by, word.
Lesson 10: Letter group 4: This lesson teaches the name, sound, and letter formation of the vowel u and the consonants t, v, w, x, and y and practices the slide and forming words.
Lesson 11: Punctuation. This lesson teaches students how to punctuate properly. 
Lesson 12: Most Common Words list 4: This lesson teaches words included in Most Common Words list 4: but, not, what, all, were, we, we, your, can, said.
Lesson 13: Letter Group 5. This lesson teaches the name sound and letter formation of the vowel i and the consonants q, z, c, k and practice the slide and forming words.
Lesson 14: Spelling with C and k. This lesson teaches how to spell with c and k.
Lesson 15: Most Common Words list 5: This lesson teaches the words included on the Most Common Words list 5: there, use, an, each, which, she, do, how, their, if.
Lesson 16: Alphabetical Order. This lesson presents alphabetical order.
