This class is designed to help learners create a Fantasy world in which to write stories in, play D&D campaigns in, or have for other fun purposes. We will draw maps, use mapmaking software like Inkarnate (free version) or Wonderdraft (one time payment of $29.99 if that is the map maker you want to use.) create bestiaries and fantasy races, economies and more. In order to use the free map making software, Inkarnate, a parent will have to sign up to log in unless the learner is 13 years of age or older. Inkarnate also has a subscription based model but the free version is fine for the class. In order to use the map making software, Wonderdraft, a parent will have to purchase the software for $29.99. The free version of Inkarnate is fine to use in the class and Wonderdraft is completely optional.
We will use the free software Inkarnate for a few of the classes. Wonderdraft is also a great map making software but it costs $29.99 one time to own it. I am not affiliated with either software.
