2年生準備クラスのための数学のすべて

In this class, we learn tools and tricks that will ensure that we are successful in second grade math. You do not need to be a homeschoolers to enroll into this class. All students are welcomed to participate in this class. Your learner is welcome to enroll in this class at anytime. 

Each week, students will be introduced to new math materials. Each class we will begin with a wonderful math warm up (it will be uploaded into the classroom for you to print) and will will end class with an exit ticket. This helps me know what each individual scholar needs help with. 

Every class we will do the following if/when needed: 
A) Review math fluency
B) Write down our goals 
C) Create anchor charts (when it is needed; mostly for new materials, at the beginning of the week)
D) Work independently 
E) Work with me and as groups 
F) Review through games or art (students will need colors or markers)
G) Share their work and receive feedback

Class will be structured for students to participate with myself and their classmates. There will be plenty of time for everyone to interact with one another. 

We will cover the following topics in this class: 
Week 1: Place Values to 100
Week 2: Understanding Addition and Subtraction
Week 3: Addition Strategies
Week 4: Subtraction Strategies
Week 5: Working with Equal groups
Week 6: Mental Addition
Week 7: Mental Subtraction 
Week 8: Adding Two Digit Numbers
Week 9: Subtraction Two Digit Numbers
Week 10: Place Value to 1,000

Students will receive printables in the classroom. Printables will be helpful to have in the class. As we are learning we will work with different representations, models, and manipulatives.  We will use Eureka math. If your child need accomodation please let me know. 

This class is designed to prepare students for the 3rd grade.
