¡Hola!

Elementary Intermediate Spanish Part 7 is an engaging and interactive class designed for students who have completed Elementary Spanish Parts 1-6 or have had 2-3 years of Spanish instruction at school. Throughout the course, students will learn how to order food at a restaurant, name extended family, describe family members using positive adjectives, name various modes of transportation, and practice a weekly conversation. Additionally, students will learn letters, review previous vocabulary, and practice possessive "de." The course concludes with a final project presentation and celebration of learning.

Week 1 Topics:  
I know frequently used classroom phrases. 
Review: shapes and colors
Learn letters: A, B, C, D, E, F, G
I can introduce myself to the class. (Hola.  Me llamo _________.  Tengo ___ años.  Soy ______.  Mi color favorito es ___________.
I can name family members.
I can name extended family members. 
Grammar Topic: Possessive "de"

Week 2 Topics:
Review: I can say my eye and hair color. 
Review: I can name farm animals. 
Learn letters: H, I, J, K, L, M, N
I can have a conversation about likes/dislikes.
I can name extended family members. 

Week 3 Topics:
Review: I can count from 1 to 20.
Review: I can name pets. 
Learn letters: Ñ, O, P, Q, R, S, T
I can have a conversation to discuss foods I like. 
I can use positive adjectives to describe myself and my family members. 
I can have a conversation to describe myself using positive adjectives. 

Week 4 Topics:
Review: I can count from 1 to 20.
Review: I can name wild animals. 
Learn letters: Ñ, O, P, Q, R, S, T
I can have a conversation to discuss beverages I like.
I can sort foods and drinks.
I can order at a restaurant. 

Week 5 Topics:
Review: I can count by 10s to 100.
Learn letters: U, V, W, X, Y,  Z
I can sort foods and drinks. 
I can order breakfast foods at a restaurant.
I can talk about foods my family members like.

Week 6 Topics:
Review: I can count by 10s to 100.
Review: I can sing the alphabet song. 
I can name various modes of transportation. 
I can talk about foods my family members enjoy.

Week 7 Topics:
Review:  I can name city places. 
I can use letters to spell words.
I can name various modes of transportation. 
I can say what mode of transportation I take to get to various places.

Week 8 Topics:
I can have a conversation to describe where I am going. 
I can create a menu. 
I can present my final project.
I can celebrate my learning!
