Hands can be complicated and intimidating to draw. I will show the student how to streamline the process to make it less difficult. Students will learn how hands can differ depending on the type of character you are drawing. Also, students will see how the human hand is used in every-day tasks. We will learn, and do exercises, that allow the student to practice how the hand can hold and grab various objects and perform activities. These in-class exercises will be shared during class and discussed.

I have spent twenty years in the Animation, Illustration and Comics industries. I currently create my own webcomic and graphic novel and have illustrated several children's books and comics featuring original character designs of my own and existing characters. This is my second class on Outschool.com. You can find my other class listed as "Character Drawing for Comics and Graphic Novels". Some of my clients have included IDW, IBM, Sesame Street and American Greetings.
