Students will improve their research and writing skills. They will learn the how to’s for writing factual and interesting biographies. They will improve their listening skills as they listen to each other share their writing. They will learn that we can learn from each other. They will learn how to provide constructive criticism as they perform the role of evaluator. 

I am qualified to teach this class for several reasons. Beyond writing being my passion and hobby, I am a licensed teacher, with gifted/ talented endorsement for grades K-12. I also hold a masters in school administration. I have taught writing in all grades K-8 for over twenty-five years. I won the 1997 Young Writers Award for my county. I have been the highest performing teacher in grade 6 ELA. I have several published and successful writing classes on Outschool.
