Come join this social class where learners will celebrate all things Valentine's Day! During our 30 minute time together, our focus will be on the upcoming Valentine's Day holiday. Learners will collaborate on a heart-filled class poem, problem-solve as we work on some math using candy hearts, conduct a sink/float science experiment, socialize with a show&tell opportunity where learners bring an item or object they love and create a Valentine's paper paint craft. It is sure to be a LOVEly, fun-filled class! Since I have a 5 and 7 yr old (ASK ME ABOUT SIBLING DISCOUNTS!) and my teaching background is Preschool/Kindergarten, I know how important it is to have interactive classes! I have designed all of them to be fun and engaging for young learners. We will listen, share, read, complete activities and learn together all while having fun! These classes also provide a great opportunity for some social interaction with age-appropriate peers.

Hi everyone! My name is Lisa and I reside in the Lone Star State also known as Texas. I am a graduate of Baylor University and received a Bachelor of Science in Education degree. I also received my Master of Education degree from The University of Texas. I love working with Preschool and Elementary aged students that are at all ability levels! Special Education still holds a dear place in my heart and was my focus during college and graduate school. I am currently a stay at home mom of two young sons but before that, I worked for 13 years in a public elementary school. I taught PPCD (Preschool Program for Children with Disabilities) for 3 years and Kindergarten for 10 years until I had my first son. Currently, I am an online ESL teacher and have been with the company since the summer of 2019. I enjoy helping teach students English! I am TEFL certified as well.
My passion for teaching came from having a younger brother with special needs. I loved working with him to help make his life as best as our family could. He is the reason I chose the major I did. Along my journey to becoming a teacher, I realized how much I enjoyed working with young children and helping them learn as much as they can to succeed. When I am not teaching students online or my boys at home, I enjoy traveling, reading, dancing and being active with my family. I am so honored to be an Outschool Teacher and appreciative of this opportunity.
