In order to create Blackout Poetry, learners must come to class with two supplies: (1) A page of text. Each learner will need a short page of text that can be written on. Learners may use a section from a newspaper or a magazine or learners can print something out to use. I have found some good short stories on this site: https://www.storyberries.com/ that would work well for this poetry writing activity. (The goal is to find a text the learner can write on during class not necessarily a story the learner enjoys.) (2) A black marker or a black crayon.
