Whether you need some instruction in violin basics or you've never even touched a violin before, this 3-week class is designed to get you started with a great foundation, and playing the beginning of a song with a good sound! I will demonstrate all of the skills that we will cover in this class on my own violin, in short, easy-to-follow steps. Students will have practicing "homework" and should expect to spend about 5-10 minutes each day practicing outside of class. While consistent practice is not required for class, it is encouraged as it makes it much easier to build the skills and muscle memory to play the violin.授業以外に週あたり 0 - 1 時間の学習が期待されます

Students will need to have their own violin and bow in their correct size (and in good working condition), rosin, a small soft cloth, and a shoulder rest or foam pad (usually attached with a rubber band) in place of a shoulder rest. In the second week of class, learners will need a small sticker (flat, not raised, around 1/4 inch wide or less - little star stickers often work well for this) or finger tapes (which are long stickers) designed for violins. An adult will need to make sure the learner's violin is in tune to the best of their ability before each class meeting. (A video with some tuning basics will be provided in the classroom.) If you are not sure what size violin your child needs or how to select a good beginner instrument, please send me a message - I am happy to provide information about this!
