In this 4 day camp learners will be introduced to the guitar. This camp is designed for beginners who have had little to no experience with the guitar. I have two bachelors degrees in music (BA in Music and BM in Music Therapy). As part of my music therapy program I spent a lot of time with my guitar (it is easy to transport and great to accompany singing!). I enjoy playing the guitar and teaching young learners to be excited about the guitar as well!
Learners should bring a guitar to class (classical, acoustic, electric). They should be sitting on the floor or in a chair without arms to allow them to hold the guitar properly. It is also helpful if I am able to see their hands, especially the left hand, to be able to monitor proper finger placement and offer feedback.
