Class time will include a mix of vocabulary games, reading, discussion and writing. The class will begin with a few fun games to get creative juices flowing. Then we'll read the story "The Knight Who Was Afraid of the Dark," a funny story about conquering fears and creating our own happy endings. Next, students will work together to write a collaborative group story about overcoming fears. This class is designed to get students excited about writing.
I have over 15 years experience teaching English, specializing in teaching writing. In this class, we will use one of my favorite stories as a springboard for creating our own stories.
Students need to come prepared to write. They will need a pencil and eraser, and some paper. A story template will also be provided for students who wish to continue writing stories after class.
