アートトーク: 古代の職人⎜ESLフレンドリー⎟継続中 - 8〜13歳

In this class learners will respond to the art of Ancient Rome. They will develop their fluency in the language of art by identifying the formal qualities of artworks and well as talk about art processes, from relief and freestanding sculpture to mosaics and architecture. They will identify visual elements and principles as they appear and are applied in the examples of art the art we examine. Learners will be encouraged and supported when responding to the artworks, using the vocabulary and imagery introduced to them within the lesson. By looking at the art, and hearing about the contexts within which it was created, students will also learn about the ideas and intensions involved in the creation of the art. Your learner will be encouraged to participate. Correct English will be gently reinforced in positive and constructive way. Not only will your learner develop their speaking skills and fluency in the language of art, they will will develop their understanding of the history of art.

Week 3 - Mosaics of Ostia Antica
Week 4 - Ancient Roman Architecture

* After the fourth session topics will cycle back to the beginning
