Hi everyone!  My name is Andrea and I've been teaching at the university level for over 10 years.  I have a PhD in Biology, which allows me to share my passion for nature in the classroom.  I've been fortunate to conduct research all over the world and experience amazing habitats, animals, and plants firsthand (Costa Rica, South Africa, Galapagos, and more!).  My most recent adventure has been becoming a mom, and sharing my passion for biology with my kids.  My science classes are interactive and fun (my kids wouldn't have it any other way!).  I engage my students by connecting what they see in their daily lives (movies, TV, books, holidays, etc.) to the magnificent creatures that exist in our world.  My goal is for kids to find out how amazing the natural world is!
