The goal is to have your child recognize the 5 to 6 letters that are introduced.  Your child will have a song that will help them not only remember the name of the letter but the phonetic sound of the letter.  By learning the phonemes of the alphabet, your child will being to recognize and begin to sound out words.  They will also be introduced to writing each letter. 

I am a professional educator with 5+ years in the classroom.  I have also been teaching children reading and language acquisition, online, for the last 4 years.  My education background is a B.S. in Elementary Education with an Emphasis in Language Acquisition.  I also have a Masters in Educational Psychology and Child Development.

I would like the parents to read picture books to their child at night during bedtime.  As the parent reads to their child, I would like them to point to each word as they read.  This will help the child with sight words and recognize the phonemes we are covering.  I am also include a PDF for writing.  You can have your child outline the letter with a marker or crayon.
