Each week we will learn a new alphabet letter sound using funny stories with puppets. Students will interact with the puppets to help make the sounds of each letter. We will also identify words beginning with the letter of the week. Students will have a lot of fun learning English alphabet sounds with stories, slides, videos, games, and puppets to encourage interaction between the students and teacher. Individual speaking, as well as group speaking, will be encouraged to learn and practice the letter sounds. No prior with English is necessary to attend this class. I will adjust each lesson to individual student levels and needs. Each week we will study different letters of the alphabet: Week one: Aa Week two: Bb Week three: Cc Week four: Dd We will continue different letters through the alphabet each week. Hello! My name is Teacher Rachel! I've been teaching for over 23 years: 3 years as an Elementary School teacher (K-2), 15 years as a homeschool teacher teaching ALL subjects, and over 5 years as an online ESL teacher for ages 3-18 with students from China, Vietnam, the Czech Republic, Thailand and Canada! I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education as well as a TESOL certificate to teach ESL students. I enjoy teaching reading, phonics, vocabulary, and all things rabbits! I believe it's important to have fun while learning so many of my classes include interactive games and toys that are used to make learning meaningful. I enjoy making my students laugh so that they are comfortable interacting with each other during our lessons together. I welcome all young learners, as well as ESL learners, to any of my classes!
