Join us for a fun, hands-on math class designed to help young learners strengthen their understanding of two-digit numbers using the Montessori approach.

Over the course of three weeks, your child will develop a solid foundation in two-digit addition and subtraction through engaging activities, group problem-solving, and the use of math manipulatives. We’ll focus on building confidence, understanding place value, and practicing these essential skills in a supportive and interactive environment.

What to Expect:
Week One: Understanding Two-Digit Numbers
We’ll start by exploring what two-digit numbers are and identifying their place value (ones and tens). Once learners are comfortable with this concept, we’ll begin breaking apart (decomposing) numbers—if time allows—to prepare for addition.

Week Two: Introduction to Two-Digit Addition
This week, we’ll dive into adding two-digit numbers without regrouping. By working with peers and using hands-on materials, learners will begin solving problems with increased confidence. Our group discussions and activities will help each child feel successful and supported.

Week Three: Exploring Two-Digit Subtraction
Now that addition is more familiar, we’ll shift our focus to subtraction. Although this may be a new challenge for some learners, I’ll guide them step by step. We’ll continue using manipulatives to make the learning process clear and concrete. Borrowing will not be introduced in this class.
We’ll also use this final week to review both addition and subtraction concepts and reinforce any areas that need extra attention.
