Sewing is a great life skill to promote eye hand coordination, confidence and focus. Sewing also fosters creativity . Learn to sew in this 1 week camp as an absolute beginner. This is a machine sewing class that will include some hand sewing. No prior experience is required. Sewing Machine Scissors straight pins seam ripper seam gauge measuring tape Hand sewing needles kraft paper or newsprint in large sheets to make patterns. Also a roll of wrapping paper works. Tote Bag: 1/2 yard of cotton fabric, 2 yards of 1" webbing , thread to match Placemats: 1 yard of two different coordinating cotton fabrics (2 yards if you wish to make more) thread to match Button pillow: 1/4 yard of 3 coordinating fabrics, decorative buttons from 5-10 to coordinate, thread to match, Polyester stuffing Bear: 1/2 yard of felt, fleece or cotton fabric, thread to match,DMC floss in black and pink, Polyester stuffing
