Students will improve their critical thinking skills, social skills, and confidence. At the same time, students will learn facts about Maya, the prehistoric era, world war two, and the medieval age. 

Though I have no formal education on the topics that will be discussed, history is something that I have always been passionate about. I have made sure to do research on each topic so that I can provide students with accurate and unbiased information. In addition, we will not go into a lot of detail for each era, we will just learn some fun facts about each era using the sources listed, and talk a little bit about it. Furthermore, teaching, learning, and talking about the Maya civilization is very important to me, because they are the indigenous people from the country where my family is from. I have grown up learning about their culture and I feel confident enough to teach students about it. 

These are all of the sources that will be referenced during the escape room to present some information about each era. I have made sure to get my information from unbiased and reliable sources. It is also important to note that only some information will be taken from each source (mainly short fun facts that students will find interesting about each topic). This is with the intention that each student will learn more about each time period and have a chance to discuss it (if they want to).
