Welcome to Mathletes—where your child’s math adventure begins! This summer, we will embark on a journey to explore and master 6th-grade math concepts, building confidence in multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, and algebra.

In our engaging classroom community, both homeschooled and traditional learners will work together in a supportive environment, leaving math fears behind and embracing problem-solving with enthusiasm! Led by a licensed educator, your child will receive expert guidance in a dynamic online classroom with personalized support.

Each week, we explore one 6th-grade math topic, starting with warm-up exercises to review prior knowledge and ensure a solid foundation. After the mini-lesson, we dive deep into the topic, providing a comprehensive understanding. Learners will then apply what they’ve learned with the "I do, we do, you do" approach, ensuring they have guided practice before transitioning to independent exercises. Each session ends with a student-selected Gimkit game to reinforce key concepts in a fun, engaging way!

💻 What is Nearpod? 💻

Nearpod is an interactive platform that empowers learners to engage actively during class, whether using digital tools or paper and pencil. With Nearpod, students can showcase their work, ask questions, and receive personalized feedback in real time. As an educator, I use Nearpod to share interactive slideshows, offering personalized math problems for each student to solve. Learners simply need to copy the class link or enter the code into the Nearpod app to access interactive learning experiences. Zoom screen share is also available for learners who prefer paper and pencil.
