Students will build fractions from unit fractions by applying and extending previous understandings of operations on whole numbers. Students will understand decimal notation for fractions, and compare decimal fractions. Students will solve problems involving measurement and conversion of measurements from a larger unit to a smaller unit.

I will provide 2-5 example problems for homework after each class. This is voluntary and will be reviewed at the beginning of the next class. If a student is struggling, they can post their concerns on the classroom wall for more clarification. Homework should not take more than 10 minutes per assignment.評価が提供されます
I will assess students in class based on their participation and homework (if they do their homework). Students will also have occasional quizzes. I can also provide a progress report at the end of the course. Please let me know if you would like a letter grade for this class.成績が提供されます
Students should have a math journal to keep their notes in and solve example problems. A small marker board and/or some sheet protectors, along with some dry erase markers would be beneficial for class participation, but is not required. A printer would also be beneficial for notes, but is not required. No textbooks or subscriptions are required.
