1. Students will learn the proper spellings of second-grade-level words and their usage in the English language. 

2. Special focus on phonemic awareness, homophones, and words that just don't fit the "rules".

3. Students will gain confidence in their spelling, reading, and writing skills.

I am a state-certified Elementary Teacher who has become aware of the absence of structured spelling instruction in the schools today. In my private reading tutoring practice, I have watched my students become strong and independent spellers by using my approach. I have taught over a thousand spelling students on Outschool since March 2020 in second through middle school grade levels.

Homework is assigned after the live meetings on Monday and Wednesday to practice the word list.

Upon request. Please message me to request grades be kept for your student. Students who want grades for the class must submit all assigned homework and their spelling test.

The method of instruction used in this class is Phono-Graphix which is based on the science of reading and is Dyslexia-friendly.
