This two-section class will cover travel safety and planning for teenagers. Travel 101 for Teenagers Traveling Basics Life Skills Summer Camp 2 Day Class - How to Plan Your Trip / Adventure and Stay Safe / Alive

In our first class students will learn:

Location: how to choose your destination, travel restrictions, innoculations, local customs and laws, creating memories and how to make your trip unique. 
Preparation: planning your itinerary, booking tickets, what to pack, how to pack, what you can and can't take with you, visa and passport issues, using your personal networks to provide in country. 
Safety: letting others know where you are and plan to be at all times, maintaining contact with home, having a contingency plan in place, consulates and embassies, medical facilities around the world, health and travel insurance, the major scams and how to spot and avoid them. What to do in an emergency, the role of luxury hotels and the magic of the concierge.

In our second class students will learn:
Logistics: train, plane or automobile? how to get to your destination. check in times, baggage allowances, travel hacks, international power sockets and charging your devices, overcoming the language barrier and translation tools, maps and online support - when and how to download. 
Planning: accommodation - where to stay on a budget, AirBnB and other online platforms, useful travel apps, food and what to eat where (and what to avoid!), drinking water around the world.

There will be a pop quiz at the end of the first class and the beginning of the second class as a refresher.

*If you do not see a time or date listed for a class that interests you, please message me with a few possible dates and times, and I will do my best to offer a session that will work for your schedule.

*Please be aware I try to teach all of my classes, to at least 2 students as I feel it provides a better teaching and learning experience. If the minimum amount of students is not reached 24 hours before the start of the course, students will be moved to the next available section at a similar time.

*Once a learner has been verified per OS policy, this is a camera optional class.

*For parents/families who feel their child would benefit from this course, but their budget does not allow for it, I do offer a number of discounts for families of lower income. Please message me with the course, dates and times you are interested in to learn more about the discounts I might be able to offer.
