Attention: Artists! Let's dive into the ocean and draw a turtle! *Welcome to my art studio! This class is perfect for 6 - 10 year-olds! All levels are welcome* In this interactive, one-time class, learners will learn foundational drawing skills that can be applied to any drawing - from cartoon to realistic. For this class, we will focus on drawing cartoon turtles. We will learn 3 key steps. 1. Light and Shadow Learners will pinpoint the light and shadow. 2. Shapes Learners will identify the big overall shape first and then identify and draw the smaller, important shapes. 3. Shading Learners will use what they learned about light and shadow to model (shade) their sea animal. This class will be interactive and will have plenty of time for curious questions! Learners will watch demos and will work together first before working on their own drawings. Individualized, constructive critiques will be given at the end of class. I hope to see you in my studio!

While I usually draw realistically, I also enjoy using this approach to draw in different styles.
