Experiencia de clase

It is hard being a tween. At that age, for a variety of reasons, our minds and bodies often feel out of our control. Body Positive Yoga aims to help your tween feel more comfortable, confident, and mindful of their bodies. Geared toward beginners and those with experience, each 45-minute yoga practice will include:  

1.) Setting of a body-positive intention or mantra (such as "Thank you body")
2.) Breathing exercises with intention
3.) Series of yoga poses
4.) Yoga flow through poses with additional strength exercises and breath synchronization
5.) Savasana with body-positive reading and meditation on intention

Gentle corrections will be given, always with the goal of a student who feels great in their own skin. Modifications will be offered for all poses, because not all bodies are the same!

Licenciatura en Artes Teatrales desde Thomas Edison State University
I have been a certified Children's Yoga Instructor (through Circle Yoga's "Budding Yogis") since 2010, and I use my personal home yoga practice for mindfulness and as recovery from strenuous bicycle rides. In addition to my yoga experience, I spent two decades working as a gymnastics instructor and choreographer, and have developed curriculum in the areas of yoga, gymnastics, trampoline, parkour, and agility. I was Safesport certified in 2017.
