Part 5 concentrates on Poetry appreciation and writing skills. Literary devices such as similie, metaphor, imagery and personification will be taught. Student participation is an integral part of this course and teacher will encourage each student to share their ideas with their classmates. Teacher will work closely with students to help them improve their writing skills. Your child will be exposed to rhyme, rhythm, meter, mood, tone and point of view in poetry. They will read and write several types of poems including haiku, cinquain, limericks, acrostics, narratives and free verse.
