In this course, we will focus on the essential elements that make young adult novels resonate with readers, focusing on each step of the writing process. 


Lesson 1: Creating a Hero/Heroine
Explore techniques for crafting relatable and authentic protagonists who will resonate with the readers.

Mapping the Story Structure 
Navigate the story structure by employing a beat sheet to ensure a well-paced and engaging plot.

Lesson 2: Revising the Story Structure

Learn about YA genres and understand how to build the narrative to create a compelling story.

Lesson 3: Integrating Conflict 
Explore the significance of conflict in YA fiction and master techniques to keep the readers hooked from start to finish.

Adding Character Complements
Craft a diverse cast of characters, including sidekicks, loves, and family, to enrich the protagonist's journey.

Lesson 4: Developing a Relationship
Explore the dynamics of relationships in YA fiction, focusing on confidante characters and adding complications to add complexity

Individuality or Acceptance
Navigate the thematic elements of individuality and acceptance, addressing the core dilemmas that shape the hero's journey.

Lesson 5: Overcoming Obstacles
