One of the keys to improving your writing is knowing your unique writing challenges and how to correct them. 

With this evaluation and coaching package your learner will gain a thorough understanding of their writing challenges and get personalized advice and strategies on how to overcome them. While many students prefer to focus on non-fiction writing, such as academic papers, others use this to help improve their fiction writing.  

This package entails three distinct steps:  

Step One: You will need to send me three (3) writing samples your student has written. **Important: Please don't send your student's best polished work. I'd prefer to see each student's "raw" writing---the writing they haven't spent hours revising. That will give me a better picture of your learner's strengths and growth areas. Each sample should be at least two to three (2-3) pages long. If your learner does not have writing samples that length, please let me know and we will decide together the best things you can send. 

Step Two: After I complete the writing evaluation, I will send you a write-up of my findings and recommended focus areas.

Step Three: We will schedule our 30 minute private coaching session. During this time I will show your learner the areas they are doing well in, and the areas they can focus on for improvement. We will review some strategies to help your learner better understand how to correct what his or her challenges are. This is the time to dive into the challenges, review strategies, and address questions. Additional coaching sessions are available if desired. 

To begin the process, send me a message with your child's age and best days/times to meet. I will email you requesting the samples. Please be prepared to send them within two to three (2-3) days. The review process itself can typically be complete within 48 hours. When I send you the write-up, we will coordinate a mutually convenient time to conduct the coaching call. Once confirmed, I will create a private session and send you the link to log into the meeting. 

By working with a professional editor and writing coach, your learner will gain the skills and confidence to take their writing to the next level.
