In this hour long class we will take a look at the five pieces that make a story a page-turner. Things like a likeable character, a reachable goal, high stakes, obstacles, and small victories. I will lead the class with some lecture time going over each of these pieces. Then we'll jump into some interactive time looking at classic stories like Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, and Sarah Plain and Tall to recognize these pieces in. There will be time for questions and discussion as well! This class is perfect for students who want to explore writing or take their next project to the next level.
