During the hour, we will go over, or review for some children, what MLA format looks like on Microsoft Word and Google Docs and when we will use MLA format. The class will show how students will be able to set up MLA format on thier own so that they will be ready to type thier essay! Additionally, we will discuss the components of an essay and how we can be scholars and properly organize our essays. The class will mainly use Google Docs and Word and I will provide an essay outline and additional resources that will be mentioned in the class. Most of this class will be me modeling and whole group discussion when composing the essay. Student will not need to write an essay because we will be working on one together! No essay experience is required!
Metas de aprendizaje
Students will understand when to use MLA format and how to format MLA in Google Docs and Word.
Students will learn how to outline an Expository Essay and how to fill out an essay outline to stay organized.

Hi! My classes will usually focus on English in the sense of grammar and proper essay writing formats. Additionally, I will be able to look at different genres of literature and literature analyzation. I will also be teaching Math up to statistics! I believe that all students have the ability to learn and gain academic achievement as long as they have the proper tools!
I am currently part of the Urban Dual Credential Program at Cal State Long Beach for my teaching credential in general education and special education. I have a Bachelor's in Liberal Arts and have been tutoring/mentoring/teaching children, ELLs, and students with disabilities for about 6 years!
